Sigrid Chu About Now Life Notes to File

About Me

Hello, I’m Sigrid and thank you for visiting my blog!

I’m a devoted mother, wife, daughter, big sister and friend.

I spent many years of my life studying to a point that I started considering myself a professional student. My studies have led to a career in various research industries.

My studies and career allowed me to travel and to live in four different countries and many beautiful cities. I’ve also been fortunate to get to know many wonderful people and their stories.

Where my life has taken me so far brings together my love for travel, food, and stories. As of late, my love for stories has taken over my life. I guess this has always been within me, as I’ve long since dreamed of becoming a storyteller.

Like you, I’ve had experiences and challenges in my life that has altered the way I view and live my life. Recently, becoming a mother and approaching mid-life made me think about the meaning of my life.

All these deep thinking brought me answers and realizations that have helped me determine what it means to live a life of meaning.

Life Notes to File is where I explore stories with life lessons, both from my own life and from others, to help inspire meaningful living.

This blog is also my journey to realizing my dream of becoming a storyteller.

Come and join me on this journey.

Check out my Now Page to find out what I’m going now.

  • Yay! It’s nice reading a bit more about you. I love coming to your blog because it’s so elegant. Black and white is always sophisticated. Happy to have met you on Twitter!

    • Hello Melissa,

I’m definitely happy to have met you on Twitter too! You’re my first blogger friend.

How is your re-branding doing? I can’t wait to see it!

      Best,
      Sigrid

      • Yay! I’m your first blogger pal! With regard to my rebranding, I’ve cleaned up the blog and kept the posts that are in tune with the direction I’m going in. I updated the homepage and I’m finishing the “About Me” page. Hopefully, that’ll be up by the end of the day. I decided to stick with my existing name because I was never 100% comfortable with the other option. 🙂

        • Hello Melissa,

I’m glad you were able to decide on the direction of your blog. In the end, if it feels right, then it’s the right direction!

Looking forward to reading more of Mint Tea and Elephants!

          Best,
          Sigrid

  • I’m so glad to have connected with you! I love your journey and share so much value. Thank you Sigrid!

  • Hi Sigrid! I just found your blog through Pinterest and enjoy reading your life lessons. I can relate to your post about your 2019 blog plans. We share a similar niche and I I started my blog in late 2017, but didn’t do much in 2018 because I was focusing on my career. I really want to be more consistent about blogging in 2019. I commend you for maintaining your consistency with writing 1 post a week. For me, writing one post a week may be a little much for my schedule, but 2 posts a month is more manageable. My goal is to be consistent with my blog posts as well as use social media more. The tricky part is balancing blogging with the rest of your life responsibilities. It’s doable, but has to be reasonable. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

    • Hello Carina,

Thank you very much for your comment. I am glad you have found me because that means I have found you too! I’ve followed your blog as well as your profiles in social media. I look forward to reading more of your work.

My other half is in the same field as you so I understand how busy you can be. I admire you for your drive to build up your blog. I hope that 2019 will be a great year for both of us!

      Best,
      Sigrid

I would love to hear your thoughts!
